Having emergency procedures have always been necessary for cinema and festival spaces, but recent events have expanded the types of emergencies these organizations should be considering. Building relationships with local police and fire departments is just one key element to a theater's emergency plan. How does an emergency plan affect an audience, volunteers, and staff? This panel will combine a discussion on the unintended consequences of emergency procedures, and a close look at a theater's emergency plan.
